Institute of Handicapped and Backward People (IHBP), Kolkata
Ann Foundation's association with the Institute of handicapped and backward people (IHBP), based in the city of Kolkata, West Bengal, India is yet another landmark in the progressive history of the foundation. Focused primarily on improving the standard of living, IHBP emerged as a new ray of hope in the lives of those with disabilities, children and women alike in the locality.

The project commenced in June 2013 with a clear insight as a result of constructive collaboration between Dr. M.A. Hasan Sahani, founder of the IHBP, and Ms.Ann Moideen, founder of Ann Foundation and the progress is incredible since then.

IHBP, founded in 2010, has been striving for the welfare and development of women, children and other vulnerable groups of the society by supporting their education, training and rehabilitation, needless to say, special attention being given to physically-challenged children from the economically backward sections of the society.

It is at this juncture, IHBP joined hands with Ann Foundation and entrusted the noble task of educating and empowering the underprivileged children, women and young adults of IHBP by organizing online English and personality development classes. These classes aim at improving their spoken English skills and equip them with the right tools and mindset for a brighter future amidst ever growing demands of the society from employment and other perspectives.

The Foundation in collaboration with other NGOs, schools and institutions also emphasizes on right education at right age. Inspired by the ideals of the foundation, IHBP partnered with Ann Foundation in the endeavor nurtured by the belief that small contributions can make a big difference and the success of the project is truly inspiring and heartwarming.

What do our Volunteers have to say:
We see a lot of improvement in their English speaking skills and they converse much better in English compared to what they were prior to the classes. Goals:
Our goal is to ensure that the students and participants attain maximum benefit from these classes and their hone their language skills by creating an environment which is conductive to learning.

Success:
Students are confident about speaking in English within their school premises and when outside without any inhibitions.
Antyodoy Ananth Ashram, Medinipur
Our Medinipur project started as a result of a collaboration between Balram Karan, founder of the Antyodoy Anath Ashram, and Ann Foundation founder, Ann Moideen. The project stared in January 2014 and the foundation is helping the children at the Ashram since then.

This Ashram, is an orphanage established in a remote district of Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. It provides food and shelter primarily to orphans or single parent children deserted by their families.

This project aims at imparting English language skills to the children in the Ashram. The project aims at empowering children and equipping them with the right tools for a brighter future. The foundation is touching the lives of 75 children, who are being taught by our able volunteers. Our aim is to continue this project into the indefinite future.
